1) Ropa blanca

7) ¿Reglas?
Una vez instalado, es posible que te preguntés de quién son las reglas deberás seguir durante tus vacaciones, tomando en cuenta que está el propietario que seguro pertenece a una asociación de propitarios; o que los condominios tienen una administración específica. Si “algo” ocurriera, técnicamente no serías vos el que incurriera tuviera que responder ante la ley, sin embargo, no estaría de más saber ante quién vas a responder.

8) Comprobá tu temporada favorita.

Miami is a Superb Vacation Destination, with Beaches, Shopping and Plenty to See and Do. But a Vacation Condo is not the same as a hotel.

Here are the ten most important things you should ask before booking your condo vacation.

1) Linens

All of AYP Rentals include luxurious, hotel quality sheets and towels. Make sure you’re not running to Walmart to make up a sofa-bed. You also want to check up on the services like house cleaning and linen service and be sure you can be comfortable with the maid’s schedule.

2) Maintenance

All number of things can go wrong, so be sure you inquire as to how responsive, and how close, is the property manager. There’s nothing worse than being locked out or stuck with an emergency. AYP Rentals only lists properties that we can adequately service and get to ourselves – in less than 30 minutes. That’s one more thing you want to check on, no matter where you’re renting.

3) Is the condo you’re renting the same one as in the photos?

Larger property management companies may display photos that represent more than one actual location, and they should display a disclaimer. Make sure you verify that the photos represent exactly the condo you’re getting. AYP only shows you photos from the exact property you’ll be getting!

4) Cancellations!

Cancellations can be a lot trickier than with traditional hotels, and sites that only host properties and get paid when you book may be plenty unhappy when you decide you can’t show up. Be sure to read the details even if you’re absolutely sure that you’ll be traveling. Cancellations can be even more painful inside of the last 30 days.

5) Clean Up What?

It’s not enough to check on the housekeeping schedule. Make sure you ask about any cleaning or follow up fees. Some less reputable vacation owners will try to charge you for a clean up fee upon check out, and while damages might be charged for, normal clean up should be included in the rental charge.

6) Verify the Company You’re Dealing With.

There are plenty of reputable vacation homeowners out there, but in the end, renting from an individual apartment or condo owner based just on a web page may not be your best option. Trust the transaction to a professional Vacation Rental Management company. In some states, a property management company needs to be licensed by the state, but that’s not always the case.

7) Whose Rules are You Following?

Homeowners Associations? Condos? Resorts? Even Cities and Counties! Every one of them has different rules and governing regulations. Technically, you may not be the one in violation, but that is going to be somall consolation when a city inspector or building manager asks you to vacate. This doesn’t happen very often – but it’s worth checking out beforehand.

8) Kid Friendly…, but?

Probably anyone you speak to will either spell out their kid policy (if it’s “no”) or try to make it sound more inviting if kids are welcome. But you should do some research and carefully consider the needs of your kids and the accommodations. Be prepared with specific questions as to the suitability of a given property if you’re planning on travelling with your kids.

9) Can you rent direct from an owner?

We’d be lying if we said no. There are markets that are so small and events, like the Olympics, that make it absolutely necessary. But there are good reasons for travelers to want to stick with an agent and a property management company. One of the things all of that experience does for you is smooth the whole process, so that you don’t have to become a tenant or a substitute owner in the event that something goes wrong. Call and discuss all of your options, and if you don’t like what you hear, keep shopping!

10) Know your Seasons!

AYP takes calls all the time about Winter Travel and Summer Highlights. No matter if you’re traveling to Miami or somewhere further off the beaten path, call your vacation rental agent ahead of time. Call as far ahead of time as possible. It’s always good to know what else is happening, how many other guests might be in town or if the entire season is going to be booked up. Remember some low-season destinations can offer terrific discounts simply because no one else is traveling. Other locations will be booked solid for months at a time.
